Sharing food with neighbors shouldn't cost you your privacy. Here is exactly what this app keeps, who can see it, and what never happens to it — no fine print.
Only what the app needs to connect you with neighbors.
The email address you signed up with, and the display name you choose. Your legal name is never shown to anyone in the community.
Anything you add yourself — a photo, a short bio, and a general area. These are optional; the app works without them.
What you offer or ask for, the note you write, and the approximate location you pin so neighbors can find it. You choose how precise that pin is.
The recipes and messages you share on the forum, along with your display name.
Messages you exchange about a hand-off, and the thumbs up or down neighbors leave after one.
Most of what you post is meant to be seen — but not all of it.
Any signed-in neighbor can see your listings, forum posts and display name. They cannot see your email address.
A conversation is only visible to you and the other person in it. Nobody else can read it.
The people running this community can view accounts and remove listings or posts that break the rules — for example when something is reported.
No selling, no tracking, no advertising.
Member details are not sold, rented or traded. There is no data broker, mailing list or marketing partner on the other end.
There are no advertising networks, analytics scripts, tracking pixels or third-party cookies in this app. Nobody is building a profile of what you browse.
We ask for an email so you can sign in and get notified about messages. We don't ask for your address, your phone number, your date of birth or any payment details — and there is no payment anywhere in the app.
These keep the maps and location search working.
The map images you see are loaded from OpenStreetMap, which can see the area of the map being viewed. It receives no name or email.
When you type a zip code, street or neighborhood into the location box, only that text is sent to turn it into coordinates. Nothing about you goes with it.
This app runs on Base44's hosting platform, so what you store here lives on that infrastructure. Base44 publishes its own privacy policy and data processing agreement, and any request from authorities would go through that process rather than through this community.
You stay in control of what's here.
You can edit or remove your photo, bio and area at any time from your profile settings.
You can delete your listings, forum posts and chats yourself whenever you like.
Deleting your account from your profile removes your listings and your account details — email, display name, photo, bio and area. Anything you posted to the forum stays visible unless you delete it first.
